about
Kings & Associates revamp the title track off of their debut album in their Color Red debut “Red Dress.” Originally a Latin-blues tune, the song has pivoted into a neo-soul and blues hybrid with 70s funk undertones featuring fervent vocal trading between singers Anjii and Steve Portolesi. The lyrics describe the horrors of child sex trafficking and was the song was written to promote awareness of this reality in hopes of encouraging people to speak up and resist sexual exploitation on every level, in every industry. The upcoming record by the award-winning Adelaide, Australia-based group was tracked by 7x Grammy winner Jim Scott in his Los Angeles studio and mixed by Nashville-based 4x Grammy winner Vance Powell. Kings & Associates will be releasing a full-length album on Color Red in spring 2021.
